This handsome, chromey chestnut gelding has everything you could want in a horse: natural cow sense, an exceptional work ethic, and a quiet demeanor.  Whether you're looking for a dependable partner on the ranch or a steady mount for weekend rides, this guy fits the bill.

Standing at 14.2 hands, Splash is a big-boned, sturdy gelding with the strength to comfortably carry a grown man, yet his gentle nature makes him easy to handle for anyone! On the ground, Splash is a dream—he stands quietly to be groomed, saddled, tied, bathed, loads/hauls like a pro. No matter the commotion around him, he remains calm and composed. He gets along seamlessly with horses, ponies, and dogs, making him an easy addition anywhere he goes. His easy going and steady personality translates to his work ethic, where he’s proven himself invaluable on the ranch.

Splash has worn many hats on our operation. Tending to cattle in the feedyard, shipping sorting and pulling sick ones. We’ve doctored outside on him, and from the start he has wanted to fall inline right behind one to make it easy to catch. He sure knows his job and can make a long day a lot shorter with his help. For those looking to expand his skill set, there’s no doubt you could take Splash to the roping pen and he would catch on quick. He is our go-to, especially on a cold morning when there’s work to do. Doesn’t get fresh, he is gentle and stays that way.

He transitions seamlessly from a hardworking ranch horse to a laid-back trail partner, making him the perfect balance of work and play. Take him out on a Sunday afternoon ride, and he’ll show you the best views while confidently navigating any terrain. He has been hauled across the country and trail-ridden in a variety of places, proving his reliability. He loves the water and enjoys taking in the scenery on any ride. We’ve ridden him around lots of farm equipment, ATV’s, dirt bikes, blaring speakers, and so on nothing bothers him. He would also be great for someone needing a horse for beginners, whether it be kids or guests coming for a visit. Splash is the kind of horse that meets you at the gate every morning, eager to take on whatever the day holds. He has the tools, foundation and mind to go on and excel in just about any direction.
