Truth be told, I've been doing everything I can to avoid writing this ad. Because once I write the ad, I don't have any excuse not to list him. But y'all.. I LOVE this horse... He is truly the one-of-a-kind "heart horse" we all search for. As Ronald Reagan put it, "There is nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse." And he is absolutely right. Spade is a 2019 AQHA Gelding who is more special than I could ever describe. You’ll fall in love with Spade from start to finish. He greets you wherever you are and eagerly sticks his head into the halter. I read a book in the hammock after turning all the horses out to graze last Sunday. I'm sure you can guess which horse hung out with me that afternoon. Spade's ability to connect with people is truly magical. I train horses for a living & I can honestly say I haven’t had an experience with a horse like this since I was 8 years old.

Spade has loads of training & exposure - from spending time in the panhandle learning a days work at the feed yard, to being used for daily ranch chores in Southern AZ, excelling through versatility ranch horse training, show experience, parades, trail riding ALL over the country (KY, NM, AZ, WY, TX), to toting the kids around. If you or your child changes disciplines you won't have to change your horse. Every facet of his training has been carried out by professionals to ensure a foundation that lasts a lifetime. The hard work has been done & it's been done right. You can't go wrong! You’ll have a blast on him in the arena. Comfortably smooth at all gaits, fun turn around, lead departures, an excellent stop, easy back up & so user friendly! He trail rides like an absolute dream. You can haul him anywhere and he's steady as can be! Approaches any obstacle with a willing mindset, never making a big deal about anything. 

The fact that he is made RIGHT is just as important. In terms of conformation, you couldn't build a better one. Standing 15.1 hands and weighing 1200 lbs, he is ALL there. Has clean straight legs, thick bone, and outstanding feet. He will truly last you a lifetime! Spade sells 100% sound, he has a recent PPE with x-rays. He is also up to date on all care. Records are available for either upon request. In terms of color, who doesn't simply adore a flashy bay horse with chrome adorning his body & 2 blue eyes to match?!? He's a total classic!

One cold Texas day in 2019, I loaded a small bay weanling onto my trailer. I was eager to teach him and see what his future held. Fast forward to present day — 1. wow did he grow, 2. and more importantly, owning Spade is what having a horse is about. There’s never any bad days, just laughs & memories made. There is nothing more genuine than this bay gelding's heart.

Spade is a complete gentleman on the ground! Will stand tied patiently all day, loved to be groomed/bathed, ground ties, loads & hauls like a dream. You'll really enjoy how calm & approachable he is - pays no mind to kids running around or dogs scrambling under his feet.

Spade is hands down my favorite horse I have ever owned. — I read a quote the other day that said:

“…That horses frequently excel, that they exceed the expectations of their owners and trainers in such circumstances, is as much a testament to their intelligence and adaptability as to their relationship skills or their natural generosity or their inborn nature.” And I couldn’t agree more. Spade has a soul that you can’t train into one. He’s as dependable as they come.

I will be sad the day this guy leaves my barn but I know I'll have a HUGE smile on my face because someone is getting their chance at owning an incredible horse!
